The triangle shape of the rod enables each section to lock in automatically. The rod is versatile in usage, for example, a 40 ft. tool can be reduced to a 20 ft. working height by depressing the lock button and sliding the bottom sections off. No tools are required for disassembly.

This easy-to-use tester tests wet and dry hot sticks. The tester meets OSHA 1910.269 for testing "in service" tools (wet test) and new tools (dry test). The tester has a selector switch for wet or dry and a dual range scale which gives the operator leakage values in micro amps. Hot stick tester comes with a carrying/storage case and a test bar.

The stringing wheel is fixed on the neck of the insulator, so that the wheel is on the side of pulling direction. The type ST 168.2 is equipped with an upper sheave which keeps the pulling wire and conductor on the wheel also on uneven ground.
